Sarah Zakaria is the main point of contact for Alumni Regional Chapter Outreach and Volunteer Engagement. She also works closely on operations for the UCSD Alumni Association Board of Directors. Prior to joining UC San Diego Alumni Affairs in 2008, Sarah worked as a program manager for the San Diego Natural History Museum. Although a Southern California native, Sarah lived for several years on the East Coast. In Washington DC, Sarah worked for the Smithsonian Institution after receiving a bachelor’s degree from George Washington University. While living in Philadelphia, she worked at University of Pennsylvania and earned a master’s degree at University of the Arts.

Sarah enjoys volunteering at several San Diego-based non-profit organizations. Her husband, Roland Zakaria ’00 is a UCSD alumnus.
