Board of Directors
The UCSD Alumni
Association Board of Directors began as a group of 10 volunteers
in 1974. Today, the Board includes loyal alumni leaders
from
a variety of industries and backgrounds, and from four decades
of graduates. The Board meets throughout the year to establish
goals and objectives for the Alumni Association and, through
the work of its committees, guides and assists the staff
in
the implementation of programs for over 116,000 alumni. An
eight-member Executive Committee meets with the Executive
Director monthly
to monitor and support the Association's operations and direct
Board relations. A number of standing Board committees focus
on particular programs and occasionally ad hoc work groups
are formed when deemed appropriate.
