special or outstanding service, or, through personal achievements,
brought honor and distinction to the University.
Professional Achievement
Awarded to an alumna or alumnus of an undergraduate or graduate
program of UCSD, with an established record of accomplishments,
complemented by significant contributions to a profession.
Distinguished Service
Awarded to an alumna or alumnus of an undergraduate or graduate program of UCSD, whose dedication and volunteer commitment has significantly enriched the University.

Distinguished Teaching
Awarded to a UCSD faculty member who excels in communication, organization, responsiveness to students, and has a genuine interest in stimulating student growth through learning. A cash award accompanies this recognition.
Outstanding National Merit Scholar Students
Awarded to the top male and female National Merit Scholars at UCSD. Recipients of the award are presented with an engraved commemoration of this distinction and a $500 honorarium.

Graduating Student Award Recognition
Every graduating class is loaded with high achievers. Each spring, the outstanding senior student award recipients are selected from each college along with the top male and female athletes. The Alumni Association presents each honoree with a $500 award and a certificate during college commencement celebrations. MORE
Alumni Campus Community Award
The Alumni Campus Community Award is presented to an outstanding graduating senior who has contributed significantly to UC San Diego’s sense of community through involvement in campus leadership and various organizations. This honoree demonstrates exceptional leadership and teambuilding skills necessary to proactively connect distinct college environments, programs and activities while maintaining stellar academic standards.
