UCSD Alumni Groups are self-managed, volunteer-driven organizations that plan, promote, and staff events and programs to support affinity-based alumni constituents as well as current and prospective students and the broader UCSD community.
Alumni Groups are recognized as official Alumni Association Affiliates and receive the following services from the Association:
Alumni Groups must adhere to the following requirements:
- 4-6 committed alumni volunteers to form the Group leadership team
- 5 members of the Group are active Alumni Association members (Life or Annual)
- Secure 5 new Alumni Association members per year
- Plan at least one event or program per year targeted towards UCSD alumni
- Provide Alumni Association with updated list and contact information for existing or known Group constituents
