The mission of the Chicano Alumni chapter is to support Chicano and Latino students at UCSD by encouraging them to achieve academic and social success, and address outreach, recruitment and retentions efforts.

The Chicano Alumni chapter hosts the Chicano Awards Reception, quarterly social events at various local restaurants, and has organized a mentoring program for current students.

UCSD César E. Chávez Celebration

Three cheers for Victor Nieblas, '92, and San Diego activist Olivia Puentes-Reynolds who were recently recognized for furthering César Chávez's ideals in their communities during a special kickoff lunch reception. We’re always looking for new volunteers to participate in our alumni chapters. Our alumni leaders develop programs and events to build strong and active UCSD networks in their communities and with their constituents. Our programs emphasize professional development and networking, continuing education, student outreach, charitable giving, and attending social and cultural events and gatherings.
