In cooperation with the Center for Research in Computing and the Arts (CRCA) and graduates from the visual arts and music departments, the Alumni Association has formed a new Computing Arts Alumni Group. The new group represents the interests of UCSD graduates with professional
involvement and/or
interest in computing technologies and the arts.
The new group serves as
a network and portal for sharing current innovations in the field. The network will provide information and connections for artists and alumni seeking collaborations and information about leading edge technologies. The portal offers a window to Internet-supported events and activities.
Annual activities
combine professional and social gatherings with art exhibitions,
guest
artist presentations, discussion panels, symposia, live streaming
of art events, and presentations at CRCA's new galleries and presentation/performance
spaces in the new media arts wing of Calit2.

We’re always looking for new volunteers and program participants so that we may build strong and active UCSD networks in the computing and the arts community.
This group is composed of alumni connected by their interests in arts and technology, interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary work. Our programs emphasize the use of the Internet for presenting, documenting and sharing projects, professional development and networking, continuing education, student outreach, and attending social and cultural events and gatherings.
To get connected, email our group leader, Carol J. Hobson ('84) at crca@ucsd.edu. |
