The Central California Coast Group is the newest regional representative addition and will serve alumni in the San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara counties. Whether you are a seasoned resident or new to the area,
come join us for the chance to network at social events, participate
in community service, or simply reminisce about your experiences
at UCSD.

coming soon and will include social mixers, wine country tours,
and activities that will draw on the natural beauty of the Central

Michael Chen ‘97
Michael was born in Ann Arbor,
Michigan and had lived in New Jersey and Mississippi before settling
down at an early age in San Luis
Obispo, California. During his days at UCSD, he studied Psychology
and Law & Society at Thurgood Marshall College, served many
at The Grove Café, played intramural sports, and volunteered
with CALPIRG. Since graduating from UCSD, Michael has completed
an MBA and is currently working as a financial consultant. His
hobbies and interests include distance running, tennis, traveling,
wine
tasting, and living the SLO life.

We’re always looking for new volunteers
to participate in chapter activity planning. Our alumni leaders create
programs and events to build strong and active UCSD networks
in their communities while developing lifelong friendships.
Chapter programs emphasize professional development and
networking, continuing education, student outreach, charitable
giving, and attending social and cultural events.
