Eric Smith '95
Eric is originally from Fresno, California but has lived in Ventura County for over 20 years. He is a partner in a family-owned financial planning and investment advisory business. He met his wife Jamie in the "Camp Snoopy" dorms at Eleanor Roosevelt College (then Fifth College) during their freshmen year. He enjoys aikido, writing and traveling.

Jamie King '96
Originally from Lodi, California, Jamie hightailed it as far south as she could to go to college and spent seven years as a UCSD undergraduate and graduate resident. Jamie fondly remembers the days studying biology and German in the Fifth College dorms, playing ultimate frisbee in the quad, listening to the talking trees in the Eucalyptus Grove at night and meeting her future partner, Eric Smith during a dorm squirt gun fight. Jamie has worked with California State Parks in La Jolla, National Marine Fisheries in Alaska, and is currently working as a biologist for Rincon Consultants, a private Southern California environmental firm. Jamie enjoys horseback riding, gardening and reading.

We’re always looking for new volunteers to participate in our chapters. Our alumni leaders create programs and events to build strong and active UCSD networks in their communities while developing lifelong friendships.

Chapter programs emphasize professional development and networking, continuing education, student outreach, charitable giving, and attending social and cultural events.
