Meet actor Ricardo Chavira, MFA '00, arts entrepreneur Amy Ellenberger, MFA '07 and costume designer and UCSD Theatre and Dance professor Judith Dolan. Find out how these powerhouse theater professionals got their break into the industry and how you can, too. Get an "insider" perspective about the entertainment industry from your Triton Network.
Actor Ricardo Chavira, MFA '00, also known as Carlos Solis on the hit ABC show Desperate Housewives, participated in UCSD's Professional Actor Training Program. He then moved to Hollywood, where he has worked in film, television and theatre.
Arts entrepreneur, Amy Ellenberger, MFA '07 is multi-talented and also claims the title of actress, educator and independent arts administrator. She creates unique theater experience based in private residences, which has become the hottest ticket in Southern California.
Tony-award winning costume designer, Judith Dolan, is associate dean of Arts and Humanities at UC San Diego. She has received the Lucille Lortelle Award and a 1995 Drama Desk nomination. Her designs have been seen in numerous companies in the U.S. and abroad.
