EVENT DETAILS:
Rupa, the front-woman and composer for rising global pop band Rupa & the April Fishes, will be returning to The Loft for a colorful and vibrant performance. Her diverse music is a bridge between many cultures and styles, mixing sounds from France chanson, Argentinean tango, Gypso swing, Latin cumbias, Indian ragas and American folk.
Doors open early for UCSD alumni and Society 60 members for happy hour starting at 7:30pm at the newly opened Zanzibar location at the Loft. Enjoy an exclusive meet and greet with Rupa and 20% off drinks and appetizers.
Rupa, a 1997-alumna of UCSD, spends half of her time in the hospital as a professor of medicine at the University of California, San Francisco and half her time on the road with her colorful band.
