EVENT DETAILS:
Meet fellow alumni, parents, students and professionals and learn more about the growing field of "green business".
UC San Diego: Creating the “Green Collar” Leaders of Tomorrow
UC San Diego’s Scripps Institution of Oceanography and Rady School of Management, both at the forefront of their respective industries, have come together to solve a difficult equation… How do you build a business that cashes in on the bottom line, without short-changing the environment?
Join UCSD Near You in the Bay Area to hear Dr. A.D.J. "Tony" Haymet, Director of Scripps Institution of Oceanography with Dean Dr. Robert S. Sullivan, Rady School of Management, discuss our current climate crisis and the plan to develop like-minded business leaders and entrepreneurs who understand the need to align environmental practices with business success… the “green-collar" leaders of tomorrow.
UCSD Near You brings expert speakers, relevant topics, unique venues and invaluable interactions with UC San Diego to cities across the nation. The series is organized by the UCSD Alumni Association in coordination with The Campaign for UCSD: Imagine What’s Next. If you have a topic for future consideration, or would like to host a reception, please let us know.
2007 Bay Area venues: Wachovia Bank, downtown San Francisco and MacArthur Park, Palo Alto.
Presented by the UCSD Alumni Association and The Campaign for UCSD: Imagine What’s Next
