If
you’re one of the thousands who’ve trooped in and out
of the Cross since it opened in 1994, it’s still not too
late to come back and celebrate its tenth anniversary. In February,
150 people attended nine roundtable discussions on global issues
during the “Where Global Connections and Local Action Meet” conference.
For those who missed that, the Cross’s Tenth Anniversary
and Recognition Ceremony on May 26 in the Price Center ballroom
is expected to draw 400 alumni and guests, including President
Bob Dynes and Chancellor Marye Anne Fox. And if you miss that,
there’s no excuse to blow off the “All People’s
Party” at Porter’s Pub on May 27, even if it’s
just to celebrate a plethora of Ps! This reunion party will include
a DJ alumni spin-off and performances by poets of the Freedom Writers
(Vejea Jennings, Jay Perez, Dianne Que, Christine Lucero and Rene
Gube). As we say elsewhere, “come on down.” For more
