in the pages of Showcase, UCSD’s quarterly calendar of events.
You usually don’t think of a university as an entertainment powerhouse.
But with plays, concerts and readings taking place almost every other day, UCSD
is poised to become a major destination for art lovers in San Diego County and
beyond. Showcase provides short and lively descriptions of the events, as well
as practical information, including dates, times and admission prices. A survey
of listings in the winter issue yielded 16 concerts and dance performances, nine
lectures, six plays and five readings, as well as two movies.
