If you take a walk
around campus this fall, you might be surprised to see just how
much has changed in the last few years— transformations
that were made possible through donations to The Campaign for UCSD:
Imagine What’s Next.
In the six years since the $1 billion fundraising campaign was
launched, alumni and friends have donated more than $900 million.
This generosity and belief in the future of UCSD has made a lasting
and dramatic impact on the campus and our community.
The importance of these gifts can be seen in the faces of our
students whose scholarships
allowed them to attend UCSD. You can see it in the work of graduate students
and
faculty who have the necessary financial support to pursue their research.
And over on east campus, you can see it in the
patients who receive advanced care at the Rebecca and John Moores UCSD Cancer
Center. These are just a few examples of how donations to the campaign are
improving the campus and expanding our services.
So much has been accomplished
already. However, with just one year to go until the conclusion of the campaign,
many important programs and initiatives still need funding. To learn more
