T.V. Doctors

Looking for medical information? Want to know what our UCSD doctors do? What they specialize in? UCSD School of Medicine’s ongoing series “MDTV” has been providing educational television programming for over 10 years.

Each program features UCSD doctors talking to an audience of patients about a particular disease, condition, disorder or treatment. The half-hour programs reach a prospective audience of over 11.5 million viewers monthly.

This year, MDTV launched a new television series for diabetics called “TCOYD TV” or “Taking Control of Your Diabetes” hosted by Steven V. Edelman, M.D. The series reflects the growing realization that the treatment of diabetes will improve when those affected by the disease better understand how to deal with it.

It airs monthly on UCSD-TV and on UCTV/ GoogleVideo. For further information, please go to http://som.ucsd.edu/mdtv or contact the producer,
Heidi Rataj, hrataj@ucsd.edu or call 858-534-1806.
