Armin Afsahi, Revelle ’90, has been appointed as assistant vice chancellor for Alumni Affairs and executive director of the UCSD Alumni Association. In the past six months, Armin has successfully served as the interim director of Alumni Affairs (see his letter in the January 2008 issue). He is a longstanding member of the UC San Diego community and a former member and officer of the UCSD Alumni Association Board of Directors. He recently left Georgetown University where he worked closely with the vice president for Advancement in the early implementation phases of a $1.5 billion campaign. Before that he worked at UC San Diego, serving as the senior director for External Relations and helped craft strategic initiatives for the $1 Billion Imagine What’s Next Campaign.
