Alumni are invited back to campus to celebrate the Eleanor Roosevelt College 20th anniversary Feb. 5-7, featuring themes of human rights and global citizenship. Highlighting the event will be a talk by Emmy Award-winning journalist Charlayne Hunter-Gault on Friday, Feb. 6, entitled “New News from Africa: The Struggle for Democracy and Human Rights." Click here for more information and a schedule of activities, including volunteer opportunities on "Service Saturday," Feb. 7, where participants can choose one of the following volunteer projects: “Feeding San Diego" - an afternoon at the Food Bank where volunteers spend over 50,000 hours a year bagging, boxing and distributing ten million pounds of food for San Diegans in need; or “Restoring the Cliffs" - an afternoon at the Scripps Costal Reserve to assist with habitat restoration.
