Some updates on our recent stories.
In the somewhat uncertain world of NASA Shuttle launches, the STS-125 mission, on which Megan McArthur, Ph.D. ’02, was to fly to the Hubble Space Telescope, is now targeted for May 12. But as they say, watch that space. That launch date could change again.

The article on “40 Years of UCSD Medicine” by Kim Edwards in the January 2009 issue of the magazine, quoted some of the founders of the UC San Diego School of Medicine. Fourteen of their interviews were videotaped and are now available online at: somanniversary.ucsd.edu

In our “Looking Back”column in the January issue, Carrie Rickey, Muir, ’74, M.F.A. ’76 remembered Manny Farber, artist, film critic and esteemed UCSD professor, who died in August 2008. Those of you who watched the Oscars on February 22, 2009, may have seen him honored in the “In Memoriam” montage. As a film critic, Farber’s critiques had appeared in Time, The Nation, The New Republic, Artforum, Film Culture and other magazines.
