Event Details
Please join UCSD Arts & Humanities and the UCSD Alumni San Francisco Club for a night of musical discovery. UC San Diego Music Professor Steven Schick, Artistic Director of the San Francisco Contemporary Music Players, moderates a conversation to imbue an understanding and appreciation of new music.

The event includes a special appearance by composer Edmund Campion, faculty member at UC Berkeley, who will discuss his new work “Small Wonder.” Also featured will be a musical sample from the San Francisco Contemporary Music Players’ “Zone 5” concert, taking place on Monday, April 30. This concert includes the talents of UCSD alumni composers Mark Applebaum, Ph.D. ’96 and Aaron Gervais, M.A.’07.

After the conversation and performance, there will be a complimentary reception to meet the artists.

Concert Discount
By special arrangement with the San Francisco Contemporary Music Players, we are happy to extend a UCSD Alumni ticket discount of 20% for tickets to the “Zone 5” concert on Monday, April 30, featuring UCSD alumni composers Mark Applebaum, ’96 and Aaron Gervais, ’07.
