Every year the cities of Cupertino, Campbell, Los Gatos, Monte Sereno, and Saratoga conduct a disaster exercise for the volunteers from those cities, as well as businesses, places of worship, schools, and senior residential facilities. Volunteers are urgently needed to portray the roles of victims of a disaster (we usually simulate an earthquake) and nobody does this as well as UC San Diego alumni.
The exercise will begin at 9 the morning of Saturday, October 5, so victim volunteers need to arrive at the Saratoga Community Center from 7 a.m. until 8:30 to get prepared. Wear your grubbies, be prepared to get dirty (not too much though), and be ready to be rescued.
