Gather with fellow UC San Diego alumni as we help the kids served by Project Access build gingerbread houses. Project Access provides health, education and employment services to families and seniors who are classified as “low-income,” i.e., with incomes at or below 60% of the area median. A substantial percentage of these families have incomes below $10,000 per year, which is below the poverty line. Project Access' goal is to break the cycle of poverty by helping to keep family members employed, children in school, and seniors active.
This event will provide a great opportunity for the Orange County UC San Diego alumni network to give back during the holiday season by engaging with those in need, in the local community, in a positive way. These children very often feel disenfranchised and alone. Our show of love and support can have a lasting and immeasurable impact on their lives!
