The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry welcomes all alumni and friends to a special free symposium in honor of Professor Charles Perrin. For fifty years, Dr. Perrin’s name has been synonymous with organic chemistry at UC San Diego. In addition to his teaching excellence at both undergraduate and graduate levels, Dr. Perrin’s passion for research makes him one of the most beloved professors on campus. He has inspired countless alumni in careers from academia to industry, and continues to teach, mentor, encourage and challenge students today.

Join us as we recognize Charles Perrin, for half a century of teaching and research excellence in organic chemistry.
