Outstanding Senior Awards

Each year the UCSD Alumni Association proudly honors an outstanding senior from each of the University’s undergraduate colleges. Selected by the dean and provost of their college, these students have demonstrated a superior combination of academic distinction, campus leadership and significant contributions in service to the University or the greater San Diego community.

Our outstanding seniors represent the academic and cultural philosophy not only of their respective colleges, but also of UCSD as a whole.

The Alumni Association presents each honoree with a $500 award and a commemoration of this honor during college commencement celebrations.

Campus Community Award 2007: Torrey Trust, '07

Outstanding Athletes of UCSD

Each year the UCSD Alumni Association honors two seniors as the outstanding male and female athletes at UCSD. The award is given not only for outstanding athletic achievement, but also for academic excellence, citizenship and community service.

In recognition of their impressive athletic and academic college careers, the UCSD Alumni Association presents them with a $500 honorarium to be used for continued studies, along with a commemoration of this honor. The athletes are selected by the coaches of UCSD and receive this Alumni Association distinction during the annual Athletics Gala held in May.

Campus Community Award

The Campus Community Award is presented to an outstanding graduating senior who has contributed significantly to UC San Diego’s sense of community through involvement in campus leadership and various organizations. This honoree demonstrates exceptional leadership and teambuilding skills necessary to proactively connect distinct college environments, programs and activities while maintaining stellar academic standards.
