Alumni 101 is a career exploration and professional development panel conversation led by UC San Diego alumni for current students through programs hosted by affinity-based cohorts. Cohorts can be an academic area of study, school, campus center, department, college or organization. Topics focus on life after graduation and leverage the experiences of alumni along with the expertise of career advisors. Triton Table Talk Speaker
Table Talks are casual and comfortable professional development conversations on a variety of career-building and lifelong learning topics. Each virtual experience is an opportunity for UC San Diego alumni to meet and interact with fellow alumni, build connections and gather professional guidance in a small, informal group setting. Admissions Calling Campaign
Congratulate and welcome newly admitted students to UC San Diego! Help participate in the excitement by sharing your UC San Diego experience to give newly admitted students an idea of campus culture. This is a flexible volunteer opportunity that allows you to participate remotely and during times that are most convenient for you.
Admissions Alumni Ambassadors
Assist the UC San Diego Office of Admissions in serving as one of their first Alumni Ambassadors. This volunteer program allows you to share your Triton pride at UC San Diego's admission and yield events, sharing your story with prospective and admitted students. Partner with the International Students & Programs Office's (ISPO) to have the rewarding experience of sharing cultures as you assist international students and associates in improving their English language skills. Regional and Affinity Clubs
UC San Diego Alumni Regional Clubs (more than 25 around the world) help alumni connect to each other and the university with opportunities for service, social and professional networking. Regional alumni clubs host career networking nights, lectures, community service activities, sporting events, family picnics, mixers and much more. There are also alumni affinity groups based on profession, area of study, culture and other interests. Applications open year-round. Get Involved
Serve as a volunteer to support our biggest alumni event of the year, the Triton 5K. The annual 3.1 mile run is a 20+ year old campus tradition that supports student scholarships. Volunteer responsibilities include handing out registration packets, cheering on runners, offering water and more. Volunteer opportunities are a lot of fun and cover three days. UC San Diego Global Days of Service
Participate in our biggest volunteer event of the year! For six years, UC San Diego has been making a difference in local schools and the community through the Alumni Day of Service. Projects have included clean up, beautification and tutoring programs at Bayside Elementary (Imperial Beach), Ross Elementary (Clairemont), Oneonta Elementary (Imperial Beach), Avondale Elementary (Spring Valley), Zamorano Fine Arts Academy (Paradise Hills) and North Chollas Community Park. The annual event is fun for the entire family, and a meaningful way to collectively make a big impact. Participate in San Diego or create a project for alumni outside of the San Diego region.
