IDEA Engineering Student Center's Engineering Community Hour
This volunteer opportunity for UC San Diego Alumni engineering professionals will encourage undergraduate engineering students to explore a spectrum of career options that will inform their aspirations and future professional development activities through informal in-person discussions in a low pressure environment. Upcoming Engineering Community Hour Sessions will be hosted at the Robert Conn Executive Outreach Center, Franklin Antonio Hall, in Room 4201 on the following dates:

Alumni 101 is a moderated professional development conversation led by UC San Diego alumni for current students. Topics focus on life after graduation and leverage the experiences of alumni along with the expertise of career advisors. Students gain valuable networking practice, learn the interpersonal skills needed to enter and succeed in their career and also understand how their studies, projects and experiences can be applied after graduation. Admissions Alumni Ambassadors
Assist the UC San Diego Office of Admissions in serving as one of their first Alumni Ambassadors. This volunteer program allows you to share your Triton pride at UC San Diego's admission and yield events, sharing your story with prospective and admitted students. Reunions offer a unique opportunity to celebrate the past, while looking to the future and the promise of potential. Participate as a reunion committee lead or member. Regional and Affinity Clubs
UC San Diego Alumni Regional Clubs (more than 25 around the world) help alumni connect to each other and the university with opportunities for service, social and professional networking. Regional alumni clubs host career networking nights, lectures, community service activities, sporting events, family picnics, mixers and much more. Triton 5K
Serve as a volunteer to support our biggest alumni event of the year, the Triton 5K. The annual 3.1 mile run is a 20+ year old campus tradition that supports student scholarships. Volunteer responsibilities include handing out registration packets, cheering on runners, offering water and more. Volunteer opportunities are a lot of fun and cover three days. UC San Diego Global Days of Service
Participate in our biggest volunteer event of the year! For six years, UC San Diego has been making a difference in local schools and the community through the Alumni Day of Service. Projects have included clean up, beautification and tutoring programs at Bayside Elementary (Imperial Beach), Ross Elementary (Clairemont), Oneonta Elementary (Imperial Beach), Avondale Elementary (Spring Valley), Zamorano Fine Arts Academy (Paradise Hills) and North Chollas Community Park. The annual event is fun for the entire family, and a meaningful way to collectively make a big impact. Participate in San Diego or create a project for alumni outside of the San Diego region.
